On February, 12 the awarding ceremony for the "Moscow International Spirit Competition 2013" was held, in which ethyl alcohol "Luxe" produced by Gomel Distillery won the gold medal.
All products of Gomel Distillery submitted to the contest at the International Exhibition “Prodexpo-2013” held in Moscow received prestigious awards.

This year Moscow International Spirit Competition 2013 was attended by a record number of guests, including representatives of manufacturers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, partners of the contest and the media. Awards were presented by leading taste experts of the Institute of Food Biotechnology, ROSTEST, and the representatives of the partners of the Competition. Ritually the winners were defined in a blind tasting by the Expert Council which included: V.Polyakov, I.Abramov, V. Aksenov, M.Turshatov, A.Medrish, T.Tananaiko.
The 20th Anniversary International Food Exhibition of food, beverages and raw materials for their production "Prodexpo-2013" has become an essential step in the development of the food industry in the CIS countries. The display was visited by the senior managers of the world leading manufacturers.
Within the framework of "Prodexpo-2013" took place the largest and most popular industry international competition "Best Product of 2013", which is traditionally attended by more than 2,200 companies from 63 countries (including the U.S., France, Germany, Japan, Canada, etc.). In the category "Alcoholic beverages" Belarus was represented by Gomel Distillery. Taste panel of experts judged the Belarusian products on their merits: gold medals "Best Product of 2013" were awarded for special vodka "Radimichi" and balsam "Black Queen". Silver medals "Best Product of 2013" were awarded for vodka "Black Swan Radamir" and vodka "Radamir Classic".
The contest was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The taste panels involved the leading industry experts - representatives of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Russia, the Plekhanov Russian Economic University, Moscow State University of Food Production, Razumovsky MSU of management technologies, and agro-industrial associations and unions.
The spirits tasting competition at "Prodexpo" is the most prestigious in Russia. It was attended by almost all the leaders of the domestic alcohol industry - both manufacturers and dealers of foreign companies.
The taste panels were composed of the best Russian tasters who evaluated qualities of almost 1,000 beverages from dozens of countries. About 40% of drinks, announced for the contest were awarded medals. Winners of the contest receive official recognition as the best drinks in the Russian market.
